LUNA mission is to provide integrated, innovative, human-centered, culturally and linguistically responsive early intervention services to families and home-based caregivers with young children in target communities.

1. Connect new child care providers with the mandatory classes that the state of Maryland requires for educators to open their child care center.

2. These providers will learn to use the virtual platform that can be adapted to the cell phone or computer known as M-Learning. With this method, the idea is that users can access the content when and where it is convenient for them.

3. These modules and courses focused on early childhood support the professional development of educators, improving their quality of service to the children and families in their community.

4. Through the ESCALERAS© program, which translates to: A pathway or ramp that encourages and stimulates informal, unregulated or license-exempt providers (also known as Family Friend and Neighbor-FFN) who speak Spanish as their first language, to participate in the formal early care and education sector, and in their professional development process and management of their startup company.

Lastly, LUNA Latinas Unidas, is a strategic alliance of early childhood professionals that aims to support Latina early childhood educators through training, research and empowerment.
